Discussion on Federal Government Shutdown

WASHINGTON, D.C.- January 31, 2019– The National Executive Board of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc. stands with its members impacted by the United States Federal Government shutdown and applaud the reopening of the government offices. However, we acknowledge the tenuousness of the situation as only a temporary solution has been found and the possibility of another shutdown is looming.  This is not a good situation for anyone.

As our elected officials work towards a reasonable solution to the border security issue(s) we ask all members of IOTA to contact your Congressmen and Senators to express support for our Federal Government Workers and to remind them of the devastation a shutdown can cause to all Americans.
