kimberly-colbertKimberly Colbert is the founder and principal of Colbert Environmental Group, a multi-disciplinary
environmental services firm. Ms. Colbert is an industry leader with over 27 years of environmental
project management experience in both the private and public sectors. Serving in leadership
roles from project management to executive management, she has been a standout in the
industry. Receiving a Master’s Degree in Hazardous Waste and Materials Management at Southern
Methodist University in 2001 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Whittier College in 1986. Ms. Colbert has continued her professional development receiving professional certifications as a Qualified Industrial Storm Water Practitioner, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and a Certified Environmental Manager. She is a member of the American Rainwater Catchment Systems
Association, Women’s Environmental Conference, the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management, and American Storm Water Professionals.

Ms. Colbert has long served in key roles on National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) related technical reviews of Municipal, Industrial and Construction storm water Discharge Permits, Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Implementation Plans. Ms. Colbert is experienced in developing and implementing large-scale environmental programs, and has managed environmental programs for numerous municipalities throughout southern California, County of Orange, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Marine Corps. Ms. Colbert’s private sector clients include: Clean Harbors
Environmental Services, Safety-Kleen, Northrop Grumman, and Battle Pantex.
